The Project
The LEAP project is a partnership of public and private training organisations who will identify specific skills gaps within the Health sector and deliver appropriate and innovative interventions to support level 3 qualifications for employed and unemployed beneficiaries in the Northern London Boroughs. It will also provide an online skills analysis system for professionals working with diabetes. The project will support the Pan London rationale by working in disadvantaged boroughs and progressing unemployed beneficiaries into work placements. The Leap project will engage 330 beneficiaries in the health sector, delivering 230 level 3 qualifications. The project will support the development of the employer-led North Central London Care Consortium, opening membership to health sector employers and supporting the sector skills council’s strategies, to encourage a strong partnership between 'Health' and 'Social Care' .
The LEAP project will work towards supporting the ‘One Future – different Paths’ framework and the ‘Securing the Future’ strategy by incorporating three areas of sustainability; social, environmental and economical into all aspects of the project, and raising awareness of their impact and importance of securing a better life to all project participants, without sacrificing the needs of future generations.
